Please join us for the 2009 Spring Benefit
Friends of the Emma Goldman Clinic are invited to attend its Spring Benefit on Friday, May 8th at the Brown Street Inn www.brownstreetinn.com. This 1913 Gambrel Cottage Style Mansion is on a quiet street in the Brown Street Historical District. Innkeepers Mark Ruggeberg and Bob Brooks welcome you for hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
This fundraising event is from 5-7pm. Fabulous items will be raffled off at this event, and tickets can be purchased in advance and at the event (need not be present to win).
Tickets can be distributed amongst all the prizes or concentrated on one item. The Prizes include:
#1 So You Think You Can Garden?
A basket filled with gardening items, including a gift certificate for 4 yards of oakwood mulch from Harbit Landscaping (valued at $162, will cover 400-800 sq. feet); gardening gloves, plants, and a gift certificate from Iowa City Landscaping; and other items to be announced soon!!
#2 We’re Bringing Sexy Back!
Oh yeah, it’s what you think it is…..but only waaaay better!! This basket is filled with a variety of goodies from MyPleasure like a rechargeable vibrator, glass dildo, and a couples “kit”, and also has some treats from the Smitten Kitten to make you meow! This basket is valued at over $300!!
#3 I Wanna Ride!
Just what you need to get around Iowa City and be green--a bike!! Courtesy of World of Bikes we once again have a Transend DX from Giant Bikes, valued at $540! You can check out the bike here.

Have a hard week at work? Need to unwind and remember how to enjoy life again? Then this is the basket for you!! We have two bottles of Dobra Temlja Milan Ruz, two etched wine glasses (because you should never drink alone!), the book “A Perfect Glass of Wine”, and a gift certificate for an Enhanced Healing Touch Treatment from Jacquelyn Phillips of Eastwind Healing Center. This treatment includes left and right brain balancing, aromatherapy, and healing touch……everything you need for a relaxing weekend, non? This basket is valued at approximately $200.
